I adopted a kitten once, and it proceeded to in its first bowel movement just like… liquid death out its butt. It ended up needing significant care, and even a hospitalization stay. I was told it was an infection by Coccidia, and this is something it had to have acquired before I adopted the cat, and so the cat adoption agency did help cover the immediate care costs, and then about half of the after-care. The story has a happy ending as the cat survived, and went on to live a pretty long life.

Nothing to do with the video, but one of my female fantails was carrying eggs. Watching your videos over the years helped me out quite a bit when it came to getting the eggs and milt from them, and I wanted to thank you for all the videos on breeding and raising them.

I work at a pet store that has a 3 day guarantee for all fish with a couple rules.
1) we need the body of the fish back. Don’t want people claiming it’s dead when it’s still swimming around
2) we need a sample of their water. If the water tests poorly, it was clearly the fault of the buyer that the fish died. We give everyone who buys a fish a sheet that tells them how to take care of the water in the tank.
3) they need to sign up for our rewards. In our system we’re allowed to write notes for individual customers. If, when buying a fish, a customer shows some sort of disregard for the fish(not buying a heater for tropicals, putting aggressive fish with poor matches etc) we tell them that we won’t guarantee the fish if they do what they’re doing, and then write a note.
It works pretty well. And if WE just got the fish in ourselves we can often claim it DOA for ourselves from the corpos we get our fish from.
