10 Pichu Tips, Tricks and more in SSF2!

Hey guys, hope you enjoyed the video! Pichu is a pretty difficult character to play in SSF2, but is also a ton of fun to play, so hopefully some of these tips can help new players trying to pick up the character. I wanted to do this video earlier but I ended up distracted with smashcon events and didn't manage to get it out until now. Anyways, thanks for watching! ~

Nice video, it's really good for many new and experienced players
I have an easier set up for a discharge up-b kill, which is the basic Up-throw to Discharge up-b, usually at 120-130%
It's really easy to predict your opponents DI and hit them with Up-b
Also, on fox and falco you can down-throw to dair (until like 70% they have a tech window, but if they don't tech, it's infinite) and kill them using the setup from above, which is kinda good because I feel that Fox and Falco as bad MUs for him

My favorite tip/trick for pichu is that if you get a knock-down on your opponent while in discharge state, you essentially get a free tech chase with side-b, it covers every options and travels fast enough to not require super fast reaction time.

My best tip for pichu: spam neutral, back, maybe up air, and (drastic option) switch mains.

Pichu's discharged Up-Special can meteor smash if directed downwards, so you can do it right next to a ledge (just not exactly on top or else you might actually get a self-destruct) as a form of edge guarding
Same goes for Pichu's Thunder actually, specifically - the lightning bolt, with or without discharge

Some combo:
(Discharged and near ledge)
Air neurtal b, fsmash, jump, dair, up b back to stage.
If opponent gets back somehow, before he gets on ledge perform a jumping neutral b (or just neurtal b if it works) then fsmash. Usually works on 80%, depending on the character

In discharge state, Your Side B In The Air Can Be Used To Trick People by doing a fair while your flying in air after you auto cancel Side B.

You can use the down b height to stall a match once you get a stock lead, just sit near the blast zone and maintain height, plus in emergency case side special can recover easily

I like how they also threw back how pichu was the first with more than one taunt by giving him 4 taunts.

I don’t know if this combo I found is true or not but, it is pretty cool. I have barely tested it. Pichu’s up throw can combo into fair( I think). Using fair to drag down, you can repeat this process. I have done it on DK when I was bored of bad connection. So it works on DK at least. If people already found this then sorry. My guy the double direction quick attack U have for tip #10 was made intentional since its possible in every smash game. And as for the weird downward angled QCs it may only be possible because of how dreamland is (dreamland does this to QC in smash 4 as well)

I just got Pichu today and when I got that discharge state for the first time I couldn't recover and I had to continue five times against metal peach XD .
