The first thing of course I noticed was the total lack of spin as already mentioned. Second was the perfect entry angle. But MVG got beat pretty good today by Ian White, 6-1. 'Diamond' with a 104 avg. Can't win them all, I wonder if Michael is still being dogged by his back?

Funny how the slowmotion 180 isn't the same as the first.
The first 180 has a dart at the top wire of the 60, the darts in slowmotion are all at the bottom wire

always found his throw strange....he seems to throw the dart like it's a pebble, rather than throwing it with spin on release to float it in.

The dart was revolving at the same rate as the cameras frame-rate capture speed... look up 'floating helicopter illusion' to see this effect explained.

Why should it spin? Every movement you make will make you inaccurate. The spin is not strong enought to stabiles the dart in his ballistic trajectory.

It's really not that difficult, why you making it out to be some astounding feat, if anything, a normal throwing of a dart would not consist of any spin, you literally have to force the spin for it to occur.
