Love the old songs. I now spend the holidays alone with memories. Some bad and some good. But now no happiness, no others left to share the day with. But I do have the best blessing ever, I have the Lord. Praise him.

This was a particularly difficult year, and since my loved ones went back to our Father's house it has been lonely and sad. I miss those Christmas dinners when we sat at a full table, now it's just my daughter and me. I wish that God gives shelter and food to all who spend a cold Christmas Eve on the streets and that there is a generous soul who wants to sit them at their table to celebrate the birth of Baby Jesus. And that the wars end and the world lives in peace at least for one night. May God bless everyone.

This year has been the most difficult year in my life my wife got very sick and got encephalopathy (a disease of the brain) that robbed her of her ability to walk. She spent two and a half weeks in a hospital. Two and a half weeks in a physical therapy facility and two and a half months in a nursing home. But on December 13th she came home. It was an answer to my prayers. She still has a lot of work to regain her ability to walk but she is home and I will work with her and she’ll get home physical therapy. Thank you Jesus for being my strength and guide. Thank you for answering my prayer, my pleas and my cry for help. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

These are the songs I remember at Christmas Eve services in my small town when growing up. Then we would go home for eggnog and cookies. The church has now closed, the people are gone, but the warm memories remain.
