Normally in demos the backing tracks detract from the bass, but this is well mixed and allows the 8 string to shine. What strings are you using?

Really great playing, super tight. Great tone too. Cuts through the mix nicely. As an aside, I'd love an interview or a some such describing how you come to the decision to purchase an 8 string bass. Did you start on 4 and work your way up gradually? Switch from a different instrument like an extended range guitar or just a straight up piano? Did you get it made or just take a chance on one? Just super curious and I love hearing about people talk about their unique instruments!

Guys, are you serious? Just because you have 8 strings, do you actually believe you need to use all of them for every song? They are there if they are creatively needed.
What you are suggesting is the same as saying, if you have a Lamborghini, you must always drive to it's max speed everytime you drive it. Silly comments

Awesome playing xx But, that could of been done on a 4 string. I'm guessing it's a 7 string with a really low G as the 8th string, but wasn't used, nor the low B, nor were the high B and E. Great playing but not a great demo for an 8 string bass unfortunately.
