If you haven't had real, maybe do yourself a favor and don't. Once you have fresh, all the rest is inedible.
On the plus side, you can store fresh in the fridge for 30 days or so. Then you just eat a bunch of sushi to use it before it goes bad. Win, win!

I have an authetnic Japanese restaurant near me. One day i decided to try all the weirdest things on their menu and man it was awesome. I tried uni, stingray, eel, and real wasabi. Its not spicy, but its very horse radish like and has that wasabi feeling. Sortuva tang and somewhat reminding me of Korean barbeque is that weird lol

My mother brought sushi on my bday, the wasabi was shaped like a leaf and I was a dumbass. So I put the whole leaf shaped wasabi in my mouth for some reason, and ran to the bathroom lmao

I love real wasabi. I like to eat a little straight in between bites of nigiri. Fake wasabi makes me want to puke though. Yuk. I can't even eat a little of it in my soy sauce
