Great Movie to watch during Lockdown. Cast of thousands, and that’s only the horses. Not a green backdrop in sight.

This was and is their homeland.
We should be humbled by all they endured.

Custer will always be the example of how entitlement, ego, and a resulting sense of invincibility, can produce tragedy.

Some of these older films seem to have such vibrant colors.

This is my 2nd time I watch this movie and it represents we can live together under the same sky. No reason to kill each other in this world if we can live in peace as human kind. God bless America for ever. I am from Nicaragua.

Oopsie, at13:13 He is riding a black horse with white blaze in a caveson noseband bridle with pelham bit. The long shot shows no spare horses amongst the troop. Next thing; at 18:06 he is on a bay with a blaze, with a cross the face bridle and a bit and bradoon in its mouth (snaffle and curb bit together). The change of horses seems most odd for continuance of the film story. As is fitting, all the non officers horses have hogged manes. This means that he could not theoretically have swapped horses with someone else, yet the black horse does not appear amongst them at all as they enter the fort. Since Dale Robertson was such an excellent horseman, he would have noticed this, had the scenes been shot in sequence. Clearly, they were not. I wonder if the black horse will appear in another scene with a hill of pine trees
