Dry and clean apples, let sit and cool down.KEEP IN MIND WE ALL LIVE IN DIFFERENT CLIMATES! EVERYONES APPLES ARE DIFFERENT. DON'T GIVE UP ON YOUR 3RD TRY. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.
****CANDY APPLE RECIPE****
3cups of Sugar (granulated)
1/2 c. L. Corn syrup
1c. Water *1 TEASPOON of Veg oil. You can also do an alternative 1/2 teaspoon. The shine comes with the oil!! Don't be afraid!
1 teaspoon of extract (I used @drshicaflavormixes)
1 teaspon of gel food color (I used @modecor )or more depending on color preference (the more you use the worse the mixture will become)
●Boil mixture to 300° BE PATIENT AND WAIT. IT WILL TAKE 20MIN OR SO THIS IS A HARD CANDY APPLE MIXTURE*.
••YOU CAN DOUBLE THE RECIPE AND CUT IT IN HALF And in fourths.

If you stir this mixture it will and can ruin it completely and have to start over.

By adding oil into the mixture does it cause the candy to break down quicker?

I have tried this recipe with oil and found that the oil made the candy run off the apple. Is there a reason why
