The MOAB (Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb), also known as the "Mother of All Bombs," is a weapon developed by the United States military in the early 2000s. It was designed to explode in the air just above surface level, and has a blast radius of 1 mile. The bomb was first used in combat on April 14, 2017, when it was dropped in Afghanistan. The MOAB is one of the largest non-nuclear bombs ever built, and is much larger than any bomb used in the Second World War.
