I made automatic water testing device for the reef tank. It is controlled by Raspberry Pi and Lego Mindstorms EV3. It is possible to test Alkalinity, Magnesium, Phosphates and Nitrates - these test kits use liquid reagents.

I'm impressed you made this with just a lego mindstorm EV3, and the raspberry pi of course.

Reefbot? I'll buy one for $400, but not $900, keep working on it. 👍

Hello just wanted to say great video and this seems like a perfect thing to add to a reef tank for an owner the likes to travel. Do you have a website or a build blog on this I quite like the idea but would be great if there was more detail like a parts list the code and photos that show the machine in more detail

This works simpler than I expected! Did you account for the volume of fluid in the needle? I think a second version (or if someone else where to build one) should be based on a cheap HBot printer, that might reduce the costs a little.

GREAT JOB!!! Are you going to commercialize this product, or open source? Why do you use a camera over a color sensor? What software are using to do the picture comparison?
