I work at O'Hare and I can confirm it was a tornado a lot of things from the ramp were being pulled up and thrown over the roof of the terminal

It passed right over the airport. I work there and it was massive. A few trees were down and I believe a few tugs were overturned

Tornadoes: Hold my beer.

I'm not a meteorologist, but at 1:33 I could see what looked like a massive funnel moving from right to left. It's hard to tell because of the rain.

Glad we just missed it by going on vacation yesterday. If we didn’t go on vacation my dad would have been working at O’Hare at the time. So greatful

At about 2:00 you can see something maybe it's just the clouds moving fast but it kind of looks like a tornado moving fast to the left

That is definitely a tornado. You can see it moving from the right to the left. It moved in front of the lights on the bottom right. It's huge!!!!

It is people like you weather "nerds" that save lives. You are as much "First Responders" as are fireman and medics. I live in Ohio and it is "tomorrow" after your storm; we could get "some" weather tonight. The intensity in your voices came through loud and clear. I do pay attention to our storm warnings. Thank you.

Nothing worse than a nighttime tornado let alone a rain wrapped tornado at night. Can’t imagine the confusion of being there and having to guess if it’s a tornado or not. Luckily however tho a tornado size doesn’t always correlate with its strength, you can have a large size tornado that causes minimal damage. I think we would see a lot more power flashes and debris if it were stronger
