The only illegal part of this video is not having the sound that it makes when you finish building in a Lego game.

The tile is not illegal. It is slightly smaller than a brick

(Edit: "wow, most likes I've ever gotten on a comment!"

the flat tiles like that are not an illegal build so it's actually fine, just a little flimsy

Try using part 3185. It is a 1x4 Lego fence that also does this trick with one part. I like using these for straight tracks because this piece offers connection points all over the element so you can build some VERY unique tracks, legally too 👍🏻

"Who gonna stop me the lego police??? " no. Goku will

Knowing how Lego is with adding all sorts of weird connections that only one person will ever use, there’s no way this was an accident!

It's only illegal with regular plates not flat plates.

Actually it’s perfectly legal to place Lego tiles between studs like this. In fact Lego have a couple sets that use this technique. It was made non-illegal when Lego redesigned the tiles to have the hair width space at the bottom to make them easier to separate, and not cause stress to studs in that position

This really helped when I first saw! Well done!

The tile technique is actually not illegal. Lego has done it several times. The plates, however, are illegal. The reason behind this is that the tiles are slightly smaller than the plates, and put less strain on the other piece that they’re attached to.

flat tiles arn't illegal as it is shorter then the regular studded plate.Tho many people seem to think that tiles in plates are illegal it is actually fine as the tension does not break any pieces or bend them but the same cannot be said for an actual plate so therefore brickstudios is factually incorrect as tho he thought that he was breaking laws and the police would be on him which is why he has been looking out of his video this entire time furthermore in the 1980s when lego released a police car sat they actually used a transparent red piece and a transparent blue piece to get the police lights on the roof of the car.if you ask me tho i would say that it should be illegal as if you put many flat tiles in between studs (in this case a 1 by 8 plate)the piece would begin to bend but many disagree

this took too long

That would be a good method for building a train station

Putting a flat tile between studs isn't illegal. It even has an indent on the tile pacifically for that purpose.

Heck, Lego utilizes it for grave stones all the time

Actually in the Lego train community, this technique is used to make narrow gauge track, since Lego is seemingly allergic to make narrow gauge stuff

With the plates, it’s not illegal because it doesn’t have the dots on top of it. That makes it illegal.

Placing anything like this, tiles or plates, is illegal. The only piece that makes this 'legal' is the gravestone piece.

I believe tiles being wedged between studs is legal since tiles are slightly thinner than a regular plate

You can also just use the individual rail pieces Lego makes so you can have legal train rails at whatever width you want

Also another fact: this is actually breakable meaning you can do a cool train crash scene!
