How great are Yes! Now when they get serious, it's at a whole new level of understanding. you're going to be astounded. Close to The Edge reveals the true Genius of Yes. Bring me along, because I'm so happy that you have still to discover it! I want to be there when you take that journey. And oh the places you'll go...

You need to listen to more YES. It's magic.

"This is a work of art"...Well, , that's what Yes was able to do...take a classical sound, combine it with imagination, musicianship and rock..the magic just flows.

This was filmed nearly 50 years ago, but the song's timeless.

If this is your first YES experience then you are in for a long list of mind-blowing experiences to come! This is a great one to start with because it was their first rare big Hit but YES were not a commercial band in the 70's. They were always experimenting and evolving through pushing past the boundaries of Rock into Classical, Jazz, Folk, Psychedelia, Soundscapes & more from the beginning. There are 3 albums leading up to this but all the ones after included very complex long songs as they developed before the prime members began to change in the 80s. THEY WERE THE GREATEST BAND in the great magical genre of PROGROCK

Ahh, you need to hear, "Awaken", by Yes. Mind blowing indeed!

I saw them in 1978 and they blew my 14 year old mind. There music is art! try Yours is no Disgrace, Starship Trooper, or Heart of the Sunrise. These guys were the masters

I wonder how many people started playing bass because of Chris Squire

Their home away from home was the Spectum in Philadelphia. I saw them five times there. One of my favorite groups of all time, and I'm 72.

Speaking of AWAKEN, that's also one of their epic masterpieces. Try it live!!

You get a slightly better sound quality (but no pictures) if you listen to the song on the triple live album "Yessongs" (1973).

Ladies and gentlemen Chris Squire and Yes the greatest show on earth. Always listen to the album version first to get the bands full idea. Seen Yes 36 times, trust me their better live.

Yes is made up of all virtuoso musicians who are super creative and unique. They are still together and touring. Maybe listen to a few from their previous album (The Yes Album) such as I've seen all Good People and Starship Trooper, then skip ahead to Close To The Edge and get your mind blown, the anything from the Relayer and Going For The One albums.

This is the 70's, and Jon Anderson still sounds the same! You should try to interview him.

This song was from the album Fragile, and I would highly recommend listening to Heart of the Sunrise from the same album, it is just as good if not better.

I was hoping this would be the studio version. This is a little rougher, and a different (also great) drummer than the studio version. Still awesome reaction vid. Love you guys.

Hi you two, I'm a Keyboard player and my hero on Keyboards is Rick Wakeman. To see them closer to now watch the 2017 Music Hall Of Fame show and you can see them and Getty Lee from Rush is playing Bass♥

A great song, a great reaction 🥰
Best with Yes you always listen to the studio album version first before any live versions to really appreciate the musicianship, structure and vibe.

Next up; 'Yours is No Disgrace' please 🙏 🤗

I like you Guys but would have much preferred you did what 90%+ Reactors do to this and reacted to the whole piece at the end.
When you get the chance PLEASE react (or just listen yourselves) to the Studio version with 2.9 Million views without pausing so you can REALLY appreciate the incredible flow, rhythm and tempo changes.
