Shame on the WT. Little children are going to listen to this. I remember the fear-mongering of this religion as a child. I am now 65 years old and still remember the fear I had when hearing these comments about torture and knowing that Jah's protection is dependent on what I did. I was so afraid that I would never meet the excessive requirements needed for Jah's protection. This makes me SO angry (Not at you Elaine - but at this cult). Another great presentation!

I love your recaps. I almost became a witness 30 years ago. Looking back, I now see how scared I was of demons, how judgmental Of others I had become, and how I worried all the time, that Jehovah was judging my every thought and deed. I gradually spent less time with family and friends. All very unsettling. Finally one night I asked Jehovah to forgive me if it was wrong, but I needed to talk to Jesus. I thanked Jesus for taking MY sins away…. And that changed everything.

It sounds like the gb is doubling down on FEAR. I love 1Cor 11:3. It's a shame that the jw's aren't allowed to study the Bible without their literature. 😪 And you're right... it's the jw's that shun family and friends who leave that dangerous cult, not the other way around.

Yeah, I read this article though. Any first time visitors to the Kingdom hall when this article is studied might be frightened away when they find out how they must suffer for a cult of man made rules and regulations. and all for nothing. Instead true Christians are called to suffer for Christ. 🙂
