I actually use this method on my wood turning projects. I’m not the greatest at getting my projects perfectly round or flat in some cases, and a straight bodied stick with sandpaper is a perfect way to get the high spots down to a level surface. Good tip Rex

I usually start off with a Dragon Rasp, then move on to a sanding stick. Sanding sticks are awesome. Plus they make your sandpaper last far longer than hand sanding.

Goods stuff! Another carry over from my other hobby (scale modeling) are diamond files and foam core sanding sticks. They're great for getting into tight spots.

sanding sticks with different sizes and grits are one of the best tools. we were tought to use hard "plastic" materials, they have very good tolerances; scraps from carpenters work goood, with meshed dual sided tape. so you can reuse the stick; also works Omni directional

I always keep one or two sanding sticks around. Each double sided with various grit’s depending on the needs of the project I was working on when I made them. Sometimes I even make one out of a half or quarter-round for sanding contours. Double sided tape works well for adhering them to the stick. Very handy!

I use a "sanding stick" on the lathe to make sure the whole piece is in plane, making sure one spot ain't lower than another etc... I thought I came up with "sanding stick" on my own 😆 great minds...
