Can´t affect things from other universes but can use them on himself, I can work with that. I buy it.

So this actually makes sense, but there is one error in this explanation. He shows he is able to manipulate TIME at one point in the final episode(within his original universe, which makes sense), but then we see Evil Dr. Strange also use a Time Stone from his own universe, to reverse time in a universe not native to the stone he uses.

"Every Universe is different, each one just a fraction unique"-Ultron, love that quote

Thanos: "With these stones the universe bends to my will!"

Ultron: "These batteries sure do look funny haha"

Long story short he uses the stones as batteries.

Minor plot hole being that Dr. Strange was able to use his time stone in Ultron’s universe to counteract ultrons

It's acceptable that the stones can still effect Ultron himself and, given a deal of creativity, still makes him extremely dangerous. Theoretically, this means he can alter his own personal reality, his own personal timeline, enhance his own power, enhance his own mental framework, project his consciousness, the ability to change his density and form, among others.

This means Ultron can theoretically will away any damage he receives, protect his mind and enhance his thinking power, possibly distort his personal spacial reality (change his size and shape).

That said there is a flaw in this in that it means he has an ability he theoretically should not have - the ability to open portals to other dimensions. Unless, of course, he can open those portals anytime as long as they pass through his dimension first, which would mean that he can only ever open a portal directly to another dimension as long as he is in his home dimension -- otherwise, to travel from universe to universe would require him to create a bridge through his home universe, though that is just theory crafting.

I chalked it up to him storing energy in his vibranium body akin to what they did in black panther but on a much greater scale. That or the act of breaking the boundary between dimensions allowed direct access to his fundamental power source. But I can believe he is converting the energy from the stones to raw brute force.

i thought Ultron was evolving and learning how to utilize the stones and gain more power by learning how they worked like thanos in infinity war where it seemed like he was leaning more about the stones the longer he was in possession of them and gaining more knowledge

I always thought that the stones in loki stopped working because their timeline was destroyed. No universe to draw power from, so no power to get from them. So I can see this going hand in hand with that theory. If the universe where they come from still exists then even though they may not be able to manipulate other universes, they can still get power from their home universe.

Q: Why do the stones still work in other universes?
writer: Because i *wrote it* that way.

I always figured he was still in *HIS* universe but different *time* outcomes for that universe.

Ultron was in his original reality when he fought the Multiverse Avengers and Doctor Strange's Time Stone was able to counter Ultron's use, so I'm not sure this actually holds up in the show.

Great idea. I guess the best thing was for the writer to explain to the viewers via social media. Because adding an explanation in the episode would've made it seem like the Watcher knew when clearly he's scared and have no clue how Ultra Vision is doing these things.

I figured the infinity stones work wherever they go except the TVA, the TVA has nullifying tech/magic to combat that.

The whole making sure people aren’t robots is because Kang has seen this Ultron outcome and wants to avoid meeting that Ultron.

Did he can use the "intended function" of the stone to himself? Like, undo the damage that he been taken with the time stone, teleport himself with space stone, etc. The only thing that confirmed, he used the reality stone (probably) to make himself super massive.

The Watcher: How do your stones work out of your universe?
Ultron: The Multiverse
The Watcher: The Multiverse Theory doesn't cover how your stones work
Ultron: *Except for when it does*

If that's the case then it raises bigger questions about the stones and the ending scuffle that became its own pocket universe. I still think it was an oversight and someone in the writer's room got a little tooe excited by the idea of infinity Ultron.

WOW! That's a really good explanation! and evident on screen too. The stones are used in only raw power, not their unique properties. Totally different from Thanos using them
