Say your prayers, as Spellmaster has been let loose!
His design and forms are based on the "spellswap" glitch from SMRPG. Each symbol on their chest represent the character's "aura"

After the events of Super Mario RPG, an unknown entity took control of the Geno doll and began to wreak havoc across the kingdom. With each foe he defeats, he's able to gain their powers. He starts with Bowser, as he was an easy target to take out. With Bowser's raw strength, he goes to Mushroom Castle to take out Toadstool next. With her healing powers, Mario is no match.
While terror befalls the kingdom, Nimbus Land cuts down the beanstalk, breaking contact with the rest of the kingdom. Nimbus Land rations out what little resources they have, living in fear of the "Spellmaster" below.
With the "Spellmaster" tearing up the kingdom, Mallow can't sit idly by anymore. He takes to Rose Town, in an attempt to stop the monster terrorizing the kingdom.

For those upset that this isnt the "Geno turns into three other SNES game characters" song you were expecting, remember that, unless Fire and crew have gone back and changed their minds, Ultima Weapon and friends are not the actual D-Side Mario Mix characters, thats still YX999 and whoever else is made. These guys are Mario Mixes of the D-Side trio. There's still a chance what youre hoping for will be made.

Spellmaster understimated Mallow at first, so he whiched to a spell type that has recovery spells.
After that, he goes on the offense with an attack based spell type.
He then switches to a tanky spell type to tank the rest of Mallow's stronger attack.
He then goes all out to tire out Mallow, leaving him vulnerable so The Spellmaster can obtain his Jack Of All Traits spell types.

God I LOVE the detail of each of the suit symbols each character had in the original SMRPG being engraved in their torsos, that's such a sick detail

I think the Green Clover at the end implies that Mallow lost. Notice how “Geno’s” Copy of Mallow doesn’t have a glowing center. He was the last piece he needed.

I actually love the details on changing the "Spellmaster" appearence and aura depending on the characters he represents. It reminds of the final battle against Smithy, where he constantly changes his appearence to better suit his situation in battle. And my God, the final form showing Melo's lifeless doll was the cake of it all, it really gave me a sudden chill and made everything so much better in the end! I'm in love with this AU and the lore behind it all

I think one clever thing about Spellmaster is that his color scheme doesn't match anyone else's in the D-Side Universe exactly, implying he's a seperate character overriding the palette of those he's using
