Sacha is playing out of his mind right now wouldn’t be surprised if he wins this

i like Alcaraz playing low percentage tennis. Much more exciting to watch, than all those 30 time backhand rallies of other players.

Carlos will gain more experience through the years and can only get better with maturity.

I also appreciateSinner who is arguably not as “naturally talented” as Alcaraz, but is highly intelligent/ analytical.

Alcaraz reacts instinctively due to his talent, and therefore is more prone to emotional responses too.
Sinner reacts analytically, imagines his strategy in advance, and executes well due to practice. This is also why he was more consistent this year.

But Alcaraz was more consistent, grand slam wise, in the past 3 years.

Happy to see Zverev gaining mental strength. Congrats to these 3 who make tennis exciting!

You seem not to value Sinner as much as you do Alcaraz to whom there are excuses when he loses. Or even Zverev in this instance, I wonder why. Is there any reason for that?

I think the biggest regret Alcaraz will have from this match are those two critical points where he tried to take the ball as a volley rather than letting it bounce. Your point about tennis' unpredictability is correct, and maybe he did simply misjudge these shots but the fact remains to him in the moment it felt like a critical error and both times it seemed to really affect the subsequent points. When you have wheels like that maybe it's easy to try harder than you have to?

With Zverev playing like that though...it could have just meant a closer loss 🤷‍♂

Zverev's serve is such a huge weapon. He's figuring out he should be closing in on the net and ending points as soon as possible. To grind it out on the baseline is giving up your advantage. As tall as he is, he should be playing more serve and volley as he'd be very difficult to pass or lob. If he adopts a Federer-like attacking style, he could easily start winning more titles and contend for more GS titles as well.

Looking forward to your comments on Fritz beating Zverev!!

Carlos is good for the game. His game is exciting! He’ll never be that high percentage shot kind of guy. If you want that type of player become a Jannik fan. He plays that type of tennis. 🎾🎾🎾

Frizt is on fire and he beats Zverev unpredictedly. Please make a video about Frizt's forehand. I feel like that Fritz's forehand is more compact and neat than Zverez. This year his forehand is probably only below Alcaraz and Sinner.

Anger builds up over time so it probably not related to a single incident you are talking about. It looks like Carlos is now in a confused state of mind which is affecting his tennis . I dont think he is getting solid advise

Thanks for the commentary as always Nik! Any chance you’re going to do the recent women’s tournament? I love the round robin format for seeing the top WTA players.

It's worth noting that while Zverev secured a victory over Alcaraz, this doesn't necessarily indicate that he has the ability to defeat all opponents. In this context, Sinner is likely to be a strong contender and may come out on top in their matchup.

Sorry but another miss; Zverev just lost to Fritz. I think Carlitos got angry because he needed to win in two sets in order to secure the semis.

With slams you need to win 3 sets out of five, I am afraid this will always be a problem for zverev, maybe not the 1st week but towards the end of the tournament. Even at AO he was playing great tennis but then lost the SF at the 5th set...

I've been coaching high school tennis for a few years now. I can say fence-line coaching on the change overs is a nightmare. Unless I have something obvious to say, I stay back and just cheer. It's a terrible feeling as a coach to walk away from that interaction thinking you just made things worse...

I think carlos did not prepare well for the indoor season. I hear a lot that carlos is bad indoors... i don't think so... i think carloa with time will figure out last part of the season. He is only 21

I like your analysis agree with most said Zverev is hitting a new level I thought he played one of his better games in recent history as you said he’s a different player if he keeps it up he’ll be challenging the other two which makes it more exiting..

Sacha is on a mission to join Carlitos and Jannik at the absolute top level. DJoker will fade away as he plays less. New Big Three in the future?

I have a different opinion on A. Lost today. I think he played too aggressive. He wasn’t calm enough on court. Zverev played smart and super consistent… A. had so many misshits…
If Carlos plays at his best, he’s as unbeatable as Sinner.

Personally I think Sinner will beat Zverev in the final… he’s just to good. 🤷🏻
