Kenyon did not do a thorough literature search, because Garston, decades before her search found the special imported pottery she said was missing that would date the Jericho ruins to the time of the mid 1400’s BC.
Plus Kenyon’s argument was from an argument from silence. She didn’t do an exhaustive search of all of the Jericho ruins. If she did she would have also found what Garston found.
The pottery she was looking for was also an expensive item to buy in, and she limited her search to the areas inhabited by the poorer classes of people that were cooped up within the walls during the short siege.
Kenyon’s research doesn’t stand up to scrutiny, but is used a means to belittle the biblical account.

The world is always trying to dispute the Bible. Nice to see that they fail time and time again.
