There were shinies in it last event???

Yeah my RNG sucked too. Only shiny I got was Galarian Articuno which is dope don't get me wrong but that was it. My spawns also just sucked. Sometimes I would be walking in areas without stops and gyms and I'd get absolutely no spawns or just a couple here and there.

I really like to use Mega Pidgeot for the candy boost. Most wild spawns are either Normal (Smoliv, Bunnelby, Miltank) or Flying (Hoppip).

My shiny luck was trash as well for the previous event. :/ Maybe I'll get that Zorua another year.

Awkward timing. I was trying to get an xxl shiny Pumpkaboo for hunting zorua 😂
