Gobekli Tepe and Karahan Tepe are two of the twelve Tas Tepeler sites of SE Turkey and right now we know far more about these two compared to the other ten. Therefore, I for one am happy to see that archaeological resources are being spread out across the region.

Of all the 12, the most easterly site is Sefer Tepe, and that’s the site I’m reporting on today because some fantastic new discoveries have been made.

In this video, I'll first give you some background regarding this ancient 10,000 to 11,000-year-old Pre-Pottery Neolithic site, and then I'll tell you about the fantastic new discoveries from the 2024 excavation season.

I’m always left agog by the breadth and depth of your updates on this entire region of the Turkish (Syrian & Middle Eastern) region and am grateful for your dedication and reporting. I hope one year you will organize a tour so that some of us may join you in your direct explorations.

The amount of oxalic acid salt in large 240-litre containers carved from stone found in Göbeklitepe. The oxalic acid salt could be obtained by soaking, crushing and fermenting the dates. So it existed in the region or ranges. As a matter of fact, in the research conducted on plants by the Max Planck Institute in Cologne in 1997, 338 cultivated wheat species were compared and it was determined that the origin of all wheat was in the foothills of Karacadağ in Göbeklitepe, Urfa. Today it grows wild in the current region. This distortion revealed where the wheat remains found in Göbeklitepe came from.

Incredible, Tepes have a cache of green beads pendants and drilling techniques, Denisova Cave in Siberia a cache of Green beads, pendants found, drilling techniques are very important for eye condition.
