What I like about LCS is it made me feel nostalgic for the 90's even though it was released in 2006

I remember as a kid going to the big city with my parents and seeing this on a shelf in a game store. If i remember correctly it took a lot of convincing for my parents to buy me the game, but somehow i managed to convince them and that was one of the happiest moments i had as a child. I even remember the long drive home ... it's actually around 40ish mins of driving, but it felt like an eternity driving home so i could finally play it. The moment i got home, i put the disc into my PS2 and started playing. I was completely blown away by the open world concept as it was my first ever open world and my first GTA game at the same time. That being said ... this game definitely has a special place in my heart. It was just soo much ahead of it's time compared to other games. The story is absolutely amazing and the missions are so enjoyable. Thanks for the video and remending me of that experience.

The inclusion of local indian songs (including southern) in there from the time-period was incredible, especially for a mid-2000s game. I assume it was the same for middle-eastern and asian music as well. Maybe they intended to encapsulate the diversity of New York.

The first GTA game I've played and also the first GTA game I finished twice (one with cheats, another one without).

Really love the time when Rockstar used to use the manuals as a travel brochure or a newspaper. Adds more lore to the game.

The liberty jam wasn’t that bad of a radio in LCS. I loved cruising around LC listening to Big Pun or Method Man

This was my first GTA game I played and even now I still play this in 2022. I also hope they can do a Enhanced version like they did with the Definitive Edition.

And the theme tune. One of the best as you know your going to be in the thick of it with the Mafia and rival gangs.

LCS and VCS are some of my favorite titles in the series. I've played so many hours beating these two games. Not to mention LCS was my second gta game after gta 3. But these games are great in all ways

Have to disagree with what u said about soundtrack. Liberty jam had some of the best hip hop songs like twins by big pun, shook ones pt 2 by mobb deep, beware by big pun, incarcerated scarfaces by raekwon and ruff Ryder's anthem by dmx and more though I feel like if they got the license for more songs it could have been even better, like imagine if they had more wu tang or even nas Illmatic songs like represent, ny state of mind, life’s a bitch.

I enjoyed this game a lot because 3 was my favorite gta. My favorite part was how buildings that serve no purpose in 3 end up playing big roles in the story here. Like Vincenzo's Warehouse or Maria's apartment. In 3, i drove past those buildings hundreds of times and never thought about them.

When I saw who you’re playing as in LCS for the first time i was like: “Whoa I know this guy from GTA 3. That’s him 3 years prior?”
But needless to say, I had a great time, and I also like Toni as protagonist, i think he’s very cool

100% completed it 4 times at this point. It's underrated as hell as everyone just said Toni is a tail of Salvatore and we aren't in full freedom we're in other gta games

What alot of people don't realize is LCS is the first GTA to allow the player to sprint with melee and two-handed weapons. This was brought back in the definitive edition.

The thing I liked least about the game was the sparse cinematic cutscenes. A lot of the briefs were just the characters gesturing to each other with the awkward in-game animations.
