Thanks for speaking your mind Chris. Someone with a platform like yourself telling it like it is … thats respect. They completely butchered them period. They could’ve charged $10 more if new molds is their excuse and pay for there new molds with that increase….(they should just make it right), but are we surprised…hell no. It’s a damn shame too because making 6000 pairs and butchering it in the making is such a turn off….typical though. 👹

One thing that Chris and this channel separates from the other sneaker reviews channel is that Chris really knows his stuff. The history, backstory of the shoe adds another dimension to the review. When we say Nightwing, we know it’s the OG.

I bought those at Sports Authority when I was in high school working at Winn-Dixie making $5.15 an hour.
$180… it was the most expensive shoe at the time. I got the Jordan 14’s for $99 at Champs around the same time frame.
The most comfortable shoe I ever wore for a very long time. They were super light, crazy flexible, comfortable, but had terrible traction. The rubber soles were so soft but were not tactile at all. The velcro would shred my skin and I had to wear tube socks.
I loved the way they looked and bought them instantly.

If I recall correctly, the Kyrie 2 came out the same year that Nike changed the outsole tooling on the retros of these. In Nike’s marketing materials for the Kyrie 2, they made a pretty big deal about how the outsole tread on those shoes wrapped up the medial side of the forefoot to give more traction coverage in that area. Conspiracy brain makes me think Nike adjusted the outsoles on the Flightposites to lead consumers to believe that the Kyrie 2 was the first time they implemented an outsole like this. I’m sure there are other reasons why, but I’ve always found the timing of this change curious.

I was a stockboy at Footlocker when these dropped originally. I remember receiving the shipment and trying them on. I couldn't afford them back then and I missed out on the 09 retros. I wasn't gonna let these slide pass me this go round. Got my pair delivered today 👌🏽

I used to have the og all black ones way-back-when. Absolutely loved them and also liked how you couldn't scuff them. And boyyy, were they expensive!
