Seeing this video makes me cry as my nephew recently diagnosed with brain tumor causing obstructed hydrocephalus. Already admitted in government hospital here in Cebu Philippines, but still no available neurosurgeon.

My mother lived to 47 until she suddenly passed due to obstructive hydrocephalus due to colloid cyst in the third ventricle, with no diagnosis ever. Deteriorated rapidly in a day. Hydrocephalus is no joke

So happy for you! I chose to do Gamma Knife radiation on my brain tumor. Unfortunately something broke off the tumor and blocked the ventricles. I had to have emergency surgery to relieve the pressure....that surgeon wasn’t my normal neurosurgeon and he cut my hearing nerve on that side. The tumor ended up doubling in size, which it shouldn’t have with gamma knife. I had a repeated problem with shunt failures (6 brain surgeries in 9 months! Plus a second gamma knife! I’ve been out of the hospital for a year and started having problems again. It’s great to hear others success stories!

I had a similar experience i got an mri for migraines and that week i got my etv surgery. So far things are going well but i still have the tumor

My brother diagnosed brain tumor and it obstructed hydrocephalus. Now, he is treating in hospital in Thailand but I plan to bring him to get treatment in US. Anyone please recommend me the hospital. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

hello. My son is 20 had 3rd ventriculostomy last Sept due to benign tumor not removed. hydrocephalus is gone and spinal tap says fluid is normal but can’t relieve the pressure headaches. Did you experience that as well..if so how did you find relief from it? Appreciate any feedback and thank you for sharing your story.

I had a baseball sized meningioma removed feb 1 2022. I feel a lot of pressure in my head and throbbing & i can also see in the mirror my head throbbing. Is this normal? I have had scans mri and c-t and my doctor says it looks normal and everything is going fine

my boyfriend is in the same situation. he's only 18 :(( he just got his vp shunt installed today
