Been playing around with the idea of grabbing one of these on the cheap because I don’t want to throw down for an expensive unit I am not even are I’ll use. I love cool fuzz when I hear it, but when I play it, it sounds unpleasant a lot of the time. I have a cheapo Muff clone I am usually displeased with, but I occasionally use to record. Anyway, this is the only demo video I’ve found for the French Toast where it’s used to try to actually make pleasing, melodic sounds instead of just over-the-top metallic, clangy hell-wash. Thanks!

Cool sounding. I have the sd1 and french toast too. I put the sd1 on the right and french toast to the left. It works great for classic fuzz solos, when both pedals are on simultaneously. Otherwise, putting fuzz next to the guitar is fine. My sd1 has the C6 capacitor removed, (by me), and sounds brighter/clearer.

I see the potential in this unit and I say that is the sound of the Foxx Tone Machine...the early Funkadelic sound for sure ! You play very well !
