Richard Clapton, the 2023 Noise11.com interview

Richard Clapton released his first album in November 1973. 2023 marks his 50th anniversary.

Richard has two shows for Sydney on 15 April and Melbourne on 19 May to mark the milestone.

Richard Clapton, king of Australian music! I'll never forget, in the mid 70's at a club in Bondi Junction, standing a few metres from Richard Clapton listening, watching this mysterious sun-glassed figure. Long black hair, distinctive voice. An incredible singer, songwriter and musician. I was blown away by the songs melodies, Aussie context and feel and been a fan ever since. Next time: "... I wish they'd all fu*k off to town." 😎🎤🎵🙌❤
