I have one question about this project. Did you have to soldier some pins on "LCD Keypad Shield"? I am asking because in description you share link to code for this project and in article it is mentioned, that if you want to use Arduino Uno instead of Mega, you should soldier pins on shield, but in video I don't see it. Thanks for answer.

Hey this is pretty neat, and awesome that it's so cheap!
But how difficult would it be to install the sensor outdoors, but keep the UNO +shield indoors?

Doing all of these things from the states sucks.. Prolly paid x3 and I'm sure parts will not arrive until my grandchildren graduate college. Boo. You should have a big warning on your page saying sucks for Yanks.
