Stumbled on this and really enjoyed it. My first experience with it was in 1973 (or 1974) getting stuck on the ride for 30 minutes. It took a few years after that to really appreciate the song, but now 40 years later we never miss the ride when we visit and I've probably ridden it 200 or 300 times. Love the ride. Love the song.

this means so much to me because my grandpa worked at Disney for 40 years and my grandmother made music boxes of Disney songs and the first one I got was its a small world and now she is mentally ill and it really brings back memories...

This song holds the Guinness record for the most played and most remembered song of all time! Famous story: the Sherman bros wanted to sell the rights of the song to Walt. He refused, "Dont sell it! That song will put your kids through college!"
He was right. :D

About two years ago we sung this at my school Primary Show and it felt so great! The theme was disney so my grade did "Its A Small World After All" "Under The Sea" and "Bear Necessities".

I remember flying in the Disney characters and playing this in my college marching band.  At one point, (except for tubas and picollos) we put down our instruments and sang...this is a great song and it was fun watching all the places that it was filmed. 

I saw this in the theatre, and had to watch it on You Tube...great job Matt!!!
