asking them not to spy on you isnt going to work. Acording to Ed Snowden your cell phone, even when off, can be used to listen to you, see you via video, or gps track you. You think it is off, but it isnt. The government does what it wants to, and businesses like Onstar do what the government orders them to do. So, you have to remove the hardware. Its the only way.

The problem I see with just using their service to "disable" the ONSTAR with a simple phone call, is that they still have the ability to re-activate it as well. The only true way to kill it would be to remove the board or the antenna.... or both.

This actually works but, you need to speak with technical support. You do go to reactive and ask for customer service then ask for tech support.

Don't pay your car payment. They can disable your car. Best solution don't buy a chevy. But all new cars can be tracked.

Only way I’d do this is the hard disconnect method. No way I’d trust them over the phone. Should be a way to cover the mics as well.

They track your mileage, your speed, the miles you drive (a mileage tax keeps getting brought up by the dims), where you go, and whoyou associate with via satellite and phone.

2005 Trailblazer with Onstar. Never activated it or anything. GF starts driving it. I get a letter in the mail from my auto insurance company saying my mileage fro 2023 is est. to be 32K miles and please update my mileage estimate.
