The camera work really captivates the genre. And sets the tone. Who ever shot this should get a rise.

Wow, the filming, the parody of "who's afraid of virginia wolf ?", the rythm and the gradual, subtle "binge drunk" escalade of the jokes, flawlessly without breaking the mood nor the reality of the scene. Stunning work, one of my favorite sketch probably.

Every now and then, SNL produces a work of pure genius. This is a prime example.

this is more than a sketch ! the music the edits the rhythm of the scenes . . . it is almost a master piece

Frankly this is a small masterpiece. If only it was a bit longer. I would have loved to watch a longer version of this.
Tragedy presented as comedy! Brilliant script-writing. Superb acting by all, in particular Taran Killam and Charlize Theron of course!

Came back to watch this after few years and still enjoying it, the intercalation between the poetic yet accurate expressions of sufferings experienced by couples and that little comedy of the cocktails sippings are perfectly done, what a skit. Charlize Theron is just amazing here, that deep voice of hers suits the mood of this skit.

Besides this sketch being a piece of art, Charlize Theron leaves me speechless time after time....she is a female chameleon who can play just about anything. She's probably the only individual capable of playing King Kong and Ann Darrow.
