Very surprised, but it works.
Bought a SIM with €5 prepaid.
Put it in a smartphone to remove the PIN, then put the SIM in the tracker.
Charged the tracker.
Sent 000 to the phone number of the SIM. Got correct answer.
Sent 777 to the same phone number. Got some chinese characters plus a link to a map.
Clicked on that link and the map showed the location of the tracker.
There was a deviation of 150 m but this is not a problem for me.
Did not put a memory card and did not try other functions.
777 is all I need.
So far, so good. Now let's hope the battery can last at least a week in standby.

I don’t believe there is a gps unit in this tracker, all it is is a SIM card holder that gets found by a 2g network tower.
That is only as accurate as to where the nearest tower is to the trackers location. That could be up to 2 miles away.

follow these steps:

- use a prepaid simcard (otherwise the light wil not blink or nothing happens)
- make sure there is balance/money on the prepaid sim card (check by calling from that number)
- remove the pin code from the simcard by adding the sim card into another phone and remove pin code
- charge the tracker to add battery
- put the sim card in the tracker (i had to put it to on the charger before it starts blinking)
- add the phone number into your contacts (on your phone which you are using for sending text messages)
- send sms "000" (three times zero) to the prepaid number
- you will receive a message (will take a while) that says " Set;Binding(your phone number. not prepaid number)" . thats it.. you will not receive any confirmation after this.
- send sms "777" and after a while you will receive the location and battery status

the location is not accurate and so not reliable.

Hi there i finally got my GF-07 and works just fine make sure you get your own sim card from any phone company and inserted the sim card in the right way, and make sure you use the message codes from the instruction manual, to disable, reset activate, track, and some other features, thanks G.G. for sharing your video

Instructions say to insert TF storage card FIRST, but how can you? Insert SIM card after you have removed PIN codes (using any mobile phone). Insert SIM with cut corner nearest to entry, then push micro SD storage card on top of it - push firmly to contact with socket at back of unit.

card works 000 registered ok - 777 sends approximate map - not a google map link but static - app for iphone in Chinese only and 102 says Registering your tracker please try again later..kindly advise and help!

It was defenitely a mistake to buy this piece of crap. Now I have to figure out how to get a separate sim card. Then I'll have to start paying a monthly fee to keep it activated.Then I can see how it goes from there, but I've already learned firstly, that many are having issues with not getting a response, after texting 000 to the activated phone number associated with that particular sim card, when setting it up. Secondly, the tracking is only as good as the distance from the nearest cell tower to the tracker, and that could easily be many miles, so this thing is not what it says it is because in no way does it give you an accurate location. Talk about some false advertisement. GPS tracker my ass. Dam, I'm so tired of being scamed due to shady tactics that are used by the makers of this bogus "GPS tracker, " whatever. After paying for shipping this was about 20 dollars waisted, although at this point the one thing that's potentially useful is the usb cord that came with it, but other then that this things pretty useless to me at this point.
