Probably one of the most beautiful checkmates I have ever seen!

You know theres something fishy when the opponent sacrifices their queen

I have found that one of the most dangerous times in chess for me is when I am winning, as that is when I can get blinded to moves that I would see otherwise.

The video start: do not be greedy

Me before the last move: now he can capture the Queen with the Knight! Oh, it was checkmate.

The video starting again: do not be greedy

Cool line - I play a lot of center game and this really gives me a nice tactical option

GMIgor. You're so good with your chess lessons, but i haven't seen you play with Magnus, Hikaru or Aliereza. I want to see how strong you really are 😊

What happens if black captures using the pawn instead of knight. Coz my first thought was using the pawn

What if the opponent take the pawn with black pawn instead of using black knight?

Hi Igor, I am very happy to see this trap, I've recently been playing e4 with the open game against e5. This is the kiesersky variation but I was unaware of this trap. I transpose into scotch Gambit against nc6 with c3 in mind and play the bishop sac line when I can. I have never seen this line in the kiesersky! Thank you

I actually got into this exact position with the sacrificing the queen bit and it was so satisfying but didn't realize there was a checkmate. I was still up material though

Play open game kieseritzky it's so fun and catches everyone off guard

I didn't even see the checkmate, I would have forked the king and queen myself

I can't wait to use this I can't tell you how many times I've been in this position

Would Knight to g4 have worked as well?

I've seen several variants of Légall's mate --- bishop and two knights, two bishops and knight --- but I haven't seen this one with a rook before.

So essentially if white opens with King/Queen pawns and black bites on the Queen pawn is the game effectively over?

What happened if black plays d5 instead of dxe5 ?
