i get these things are easy for you, but can u elaborate more on these videos. sometimes you just go off and complete the whole equation only explaining apart of it.

*Little advice from someone who has taken the TSI* Now in college studying meteorology. I was once In your exact position before taking mine. Yes, I'm giving you actual advice so read this. 👇🏻.

First: study very hard and take at least 2 practice TSI tests. Take them to your tutor or whoever it is you choose and find where you messed up. (it's how I crushed my actual TSI and earned near a perfect score, so do it!)
Second: You will find they will give you math info that is unneeded for some problems, especially the word based math problems. They will also make the problems look bigger than they actually are. In reality most math problems are about 3-4 steps and are simple unless it's a stats problem. Just know what you're looking at and what to look for. If you don't understand, get a tutor and don't be afraid to do so :)

Tip for question 18, just substitute the answers on the triangle area formula and the one that gives you 21 is the correct one
a= ((6)+1)(6)/2 a=21

I was so worried for my first TSI test. I thought that I was going to completely bomb it. I failed but was only 12 points away from being good. It’s sm easier than you think I promise. Now that Ik the questions and things being asked I have a lot of confidence that I’ll do better. Once you know what to expect it’s really easy.

Ive always been bad at math minus my 6th grade year (teacher was amazing so i excelled and even got placed in pre algebra the next year) - since that, ive struggled to make sense of math (confused on when to apply proportions or algebraic equations etc to a problem).

Ive been out of school for 5 years now and im deciding to go back. And oh man.. is my math memory depleted. Seeing you answer question #3 was insanely easy to grasp. The moment my mind reads “three more than twice the number” its like my mind stagnates in confusion on what to do to solve it.

I’ve no issue with the ELA portion (ive always excelled at it), but i just know i wont do very well for the math.

There's a third way to solve 12. You could have subbed in a value for x. (Let's say 2), and if you work the problem out you get -36, then you could sub in 2 for all the choices and see which one does not equal -36.

I don’t understand question 16.

How did you decide that you needed to do 1-(5/18)

I understood up until we got 5/18 but then suddenly you subtracted 5/18 from 1 and how is that equal to 13/18 ? Where did the 1 come from?

Question 8 you said u multiplied by -2 so 4s would cancel lol, but I still don’t understand why you chose -2 before you explained you doubling 8 and 75 to get 16 and 1.50 to 17.50
