Maybe look back on how time management worked in the Devil Survivor games on DS/3DS. Rather than have an activity take your entire afternoon, it could take X amount of hours and you will still have time in that portion of the day until night time comes around.

I think Atlus just needs to keep up the same energy they usually had with Persona and SMT. I would like a more difficult Persona game that would be nice but I also understand that SMT is created for that purpose and if you want a more darker game.

I think even if they use a similar writing style for Persona 6 like they used for Persona 4 and 5 and ignore the more darker and harder games like Persona 1 to 3, I still believe the game would be amazing and of course it would sell well as a Persona 5 successor.

I think you've touched on some really key parts of what makes persona "persona", you know? Like, changing the way time works so you can just get a burger and do a whole bunch of stuff, you can actually just assume you already do that off screen, because you're spending literal hours (in game, for us it's seconds) to get that next point of social link progress, which is why it takes all afternoon to get. You don't see hours of hang out to get to the important stuff, similar to how you don't have to go to the toilet in game. Just assume it happens off screen.

The calendar thing was really important in 4, where you would only know you had until 3 rainy days in a row and the news only reports up to a week ahead. I personally think it's important to keep some track of what day/month it is because the game is timed, the story is over the course of a year. I guess it links in to the time/day system, but you kind of already have all sorts of things to do with your free time, what more could you do than what you already have in 5r? Like, what's missing?

On mementos/tartarus, yes I also preferred p4's dungeon design.

The only thing I have an issue with combat wise is in smtv the ailment spells also do damage and I want that in p6. I don't know what you mean when you say you want 2+ party member attacks, that's what showtimes are? I guess maybe if instead they showed up by casting with sp instead of random but free? Like Chrono Trigger I guess.

if they change how the social links work, I don't really mind the calendar system, it's meant to be restrictive, but maybe giving more actions per day could be cool, sure.
What I'd rather change is to be more modular. Have the discussions be slightly different depending on context, like who you're dating, at what point of the story you are, if you talked to the character already that day, if it's been a long time since your last interaction, if you replied the last message, etc. Just to make it feel more real.

Please OJ I like you but don't use the words "modern audiences" every time a gamer hears these words we tremble in fear lol

Time management in the Devil Survivor games adapted to Persona. Maybe a stage of a specific social link or some other activity provides a benefit that could reduce the amount of time spent on an activity to add more flexibility unless you go to a dungeon. At bear minimum, it seems like a mid to late game ability.

I also don't want Atlas to limit Physical skills to one category because if an enemy repels or nulls physical then 40 -50% of skills are useless. Maintain the gun attribute and expand it or do the P3 route of 3 different physical categories for any upcoming SMT or Persona titles.

6:56 to 11:49 i am sorry men but i strongly disagree with you and i HOPE ATLUS DOSEN'T CHANGE A THING about how you handle your time and days.... spending the time leveling up or making your relashionships stronger! AND NO IT'S NOT BORING if anything make your game more unique and Beacause makes your decisions matter!! and makes you think in what you should do next because will impact your game now or later....

Honestly my favorite atlus JRPG for me would be persona 4 golden cause of its story and social link moments and I love the moments with the shadow versions of the characters when they first see them and when the boss fight starts an they transform I kinda do wish they bring this back for persona 6

Toss up between P3R and P5R, I love the music in both

I think the gameplay and story of persona has peaked, but I would like them to give the psychology a bit more focus like the first two personas. It's why I'm hyped for a P2 remake almost as much as P6

My favorite atlus game is persona 4, cause it's hilarious and was my first experience with atlus as a whole 😁

Edit ( I really enjoyed smt 4 and I'm looking to get more into the series as I love persona, I'm thinking about smt 5 now after watching this video )

Persona 5 Royal has got to be my favourite Atlus game. It’s the first one I played and introduced me to their wider range. Currently also playing through, and enjoying, Unicorn Overlord and SMTV Vengeance.

I’d love if they had 3 or even 4 time slots instead of 2, and have some events take multiple while others take a single time slot. This would also add some variety in activities for quick/ small stat-boosting activities or other things

Also, please stop locking a single persona fusion behind NG+!

These are already 80 - 120 hour games... I shouldn't have to do everything twice just to get 1 last fusion to unlock. It's the one achievement I always miss out on because I can't bring myself to do everything again for ONE thing.

I don't think they need to change the calendar system but if they do I won't mind it if the change makes the game better. I am very curious how much different Persona 6 will be compared to their previous predecessors because that game is cooking for a very long time.

I think if they keep the art style the stylish animations, AI, the music and everything to the standard Persona is known for and the same beloved turn based system with maybe some improvements and changes I think Persona 6 will do as good or even better than Persona 5 in terms of sales and popularity.

Persona 5 isn't just my favorite Atlus game of all time, but my favorite game of all time period. It is such a masterful and tasteful amalgamation of amazing mechanics, programming, art, design, and writing. It is the crux of Atlus' evolving design principles for the series since Persona 3 while advancing the RPG medium in every aspect by deviating from it.

The idea of limiting how much you can do in a day is meant for realisim. And absolutely there’s only so much a person can do in one day. What I think they need to tweak is the social stats. I don’t mind the system but it should be quicker to level up definitely the ampunt of times you hit a wall when trying to complete a confidant is jarring for sure. Either let it level up quicker or reduce the max level to 3. 5 was a bit much, and having just olayed 3 I believe the max was 7 which was really ridiculous.

Persona 5 Royal is my favorite Atlus JRPG/Persona game. It was my first introduction into JRPGs and Persona. Took a friend’s recommendation and decided to give it a shot and never turned back.
