amazing pc, i still have it, 10 years and runs good, it's not a gaming pc anymore but only the battery died 3 years ago, a good repaste needed 2 years ago and nothing else... is good to see it as it was new

My mom used this for her final college years, and it was her 2nd laptop. She had in inspiron 1545 before. The 3521 is now mine, and it's an excellent editing laptop even after 8 or 9 years.

I got this laptop when I was 11 back in 2012. It still works to this day at college in 2021 lol

I have that and it just got fixed from being broken from 6 months and I can't wait to go on it it's been giving me a stomach ache bc I can't go on it but today's Friday :D :D

Of course. Until the next version of the retina comes out, the current retina is still the top of the line computer. It can play any Mac supported game. If the game you want is only for Windows, you can use bootcamp. That's what I did to play guild wars 2.

I think display quality is very important. Not just for games, even for every day use. It's just easier on the eyes. So yes, if you can afford it I would suggest getting the better display.

This was my first ever laptop. I purchased it in 2011. It's been 12 years and it's still working, though I'm unable to install any updates now. But considering I purchased it in 30k Indian rupees, it lasted quite a long time. Now, after 12 years, I'm planning to buy another one. Just thought of sharing 😁

Agreed. I bought my 15R with an i5 3210m, 8GB RAM and 1TB HDD for around what AwkwardHamster mentioned.

I bought this one to replace a Toshiba. They each have their quirks but I prefer Dell over Toshiba.

You're right. Most people won't do what I did. I admit I have a weird setup.
The Dell is for the family to use. Because of the nature of my jobs, I can't have the family surfing the web on the Macbook Pro Retina.

From what I remember, Football Manager isn't resource intensive. But, I haven't tried playing it before.

Because this has an i3 processor. I have used budget computers with Sony Vegas in the past and, though it works, so much time was wasted due to lack of processing power. I didn't know what I was missing out until I got an i7 with 8 GB of RAM.

Hi. All the drivers are available on Dell's support website. That's the good thing about buying computers from established companies.

Nice! i have an inspiron 1545 ive been using since november 2009 daily as a video editor and main computer and its never let me down or slowed down. big fan of these and am thinking about purchasing one of these.

Depending on where you purchased the laptop, it will come preloaded with boatware. These apps are terrible. First thing I do when I get a new computer is uninstall all applications I don't use down to just the Windows operating system. This helps with my computer's performance.

In terms of performance? Get the XPS line. For myself I get the Inspiron because I know I just need it for web surfing mostly. When I buy it for other people, I get them the XPS line.
