I sell on Amazon and man are they squeezing. Some months I’m in the hole. Two more annoying things they do to bully sellers:
1. They will delist any item of certain categories that are above a certain percentage of other sellers. Let’s say a wooden chess set is $16. If I sell a glass chess set for $38, they delist the chess set for being “too far” above competitors. This should be my choice and the AI tool that delists you doesn’t take into account material difference, quality, craftsmanship, etc.
2. I’ve had several “infringement” claims. Other sellers can claim I’m selling an illegal duplicate of an item which automatically gets the item delisted… without any proof. At one point, I even had a hand written letter, legal documents and a copy of the patent from the owner who allows me to distribute their product on Amazon, but it delists anyway. Other sellers do this to eliminate competition.

Overall putting up with Amazon has been costly and time consuming. I’m researching other markets and avenues currently.

It’s all pay to play. Etsy, eBay, master Google etc.

It tells us that the consumers are done and Amazon needs to squeeze the third-party resellers now.
Big businesses are now turning on each other for profits.
