It's weird, I only started collecting watches 15 years ago, and you could get a Tudor or Orient (et. al.) for peanuts...but they were still making a profit. Now they are 10x (plus) the price here's the problem: my wages arent x10. So Im basically left wondering where my enthusiasm for watches can go now that even the 'working class' brands think they are too good for us ? Perhaps you need to do a piece on this ? I bought a Hamilton Railway Special pocket watch last month, for £250. in beautiful condition, a piece that shows off all that is great about watches, a polished/finished movement, with history, a story and a legacy....gave me goose bumps screwing the back open and seeing the amazing movement.... best value thing Ive ever owned In my opinion.
