Even just watching this video was a nerve-wracking experience. The physical effort that went into creating this man-made feature is almost beyond belief. And the videographer deserves every credit for presenting us with this footage. At my age, I will settle for watching it over and over . . .

Skellig Michael is the most fascinating site I could think of. Even if I were younger and fitter, those stairs would have been too much for me. So grateful thanks for this amazing video !

I heard that monks on Skellig Michael in the years 800s spent a large part of their day in prayer for Europe amd then sent very strong missionaries to Europe. This island seems to have been a spiritual stronghold.

This is as close as I will ever get to climbing up those stairs. I have a fear of heights, this does not look feasible for me. So thanks a lot for this.

Extremely well done; clear images without resorting to pointless zoom shots; appropriate music and no one "posing" for the camera. I admire your fitness level and that you could operate the camera all the while in an environment that offers wonderful opportunities to partake in unaided flying lessons!

Went there prob 5 years ago on a vacation. Was beautiful tee shirt weather and blue sky. This brings back a lot of great memories. Thanks so much for the up load.

Did this climb a year ago; it was wonderful. We had a lovely day, weatherwise; dry, mild not windy. A wonderful experience. We used trekking poles, which helped a lot; we are in our 70's, so the security of the poles was great.

Thank you for sharing. We ascended in early September 2021 and were thankful that it was a little sunny after an evening rain. Definitely a climb to take serious.

Hi Alex, thanks for posting this video, just back from a 5 day trip of the ring of Kerry starting in Tralee and ending in Killarney. Wonderful time and visited both the Skellig adventure centre on Valentia Island and the Blasket centre in Dunquin.
I don't know how anyone can climb the Skelligs without a proper handrail.
I'd be afraid of getting dizzy and falling off.
Much respect for your efforts.

Wow. I've seen pictures of Skellig Michael before, but your video really brought out the breathtaking magnificence of the place. Respect to all the pilgrims.

Wee buns Monica steps the whole way up. But never mind the boat over to it. I would swim over 🤣🤣🤣. It’s beautiful. Thanks for sending another bucket list adventure 🥰

One word: "YIKES..!" ... I'm not brilliant with heights and even watching this video (on a big screen) made me feel uneasy. That said, it looks stunning and if ever I get the opportunity to go there and climb to the top, I will ... :)

Thank you for posting this! I took my daughter here when we lived in Germany, but it’s hard to remember everything about it. The sea was very rough that day as we were one of the last boats out before they closed for the season. I think almost everyone on the boat puked. But it was worth the boat ride to see this amazing, unusual place. Such a great memory.
