In Germany, the right-wing populist party Alternative for Germany, or AfD, wants Germans to be proud of being German. The far-right party believes people spend too much time remembering the Holocaust and other crimes of the Nazi era. Germany has developed what's called a culture of remembrance to ensure that a dark chapter in its history is not repeated.
