'Should've never taken them': Family frustrated by DCF turnover rate, kids sleeping in office

I was a foster parent for 10 yesrs and the system is terrible. The case worker's aren't trained correctly and over worked. And honestly most of the staff didn't give a crap about the kids. The workers lie and take kids away for false reports that they couldn't prove half the time. I wanted to be a social worker but after fostering and seeing how screwed up the system is no thank you.

The system is extremely broken! But, she ran away. Why? What are we missing? DCF isn't involved in every run away case.

I was a single mom with 3 kids and had been hit on my bike by hit and run they punished nme for not finding safe place for kids to go while I was unconscious!! Said I was neglectful! I kid u not. Then when I did they gave this couple custody saying I was a unfit parent and so on took me 5 years. 5 yrs to get my youngest back the other 2 were of age with in a few yrs. And to boot that family kick my son out while I was staying at a friend's recovering and then got me for abandonment ! I had no idea my 16 yr was at my apt alone ! My daughter got ahold of me the one in foster care. That was in Chenango co ny! Broke is understatement!! I was punished for a wreck I had no control over and they just kept piling it on for fun they say they are for reconciliation of families no they aren't they make money for placement! That's a true fact folks!!

She is so lucky she was not trafficked. The System certainly is Very Broken. Imagine not having an advocate, like the unaccompanied minors coming across our Southern Border and then they have to pay the Cartels for helping them to get across. Over 85k children are missing from the border, let alone children who are Citizens of America.

It’s everywhere, If they paid and took better care of kinship and foster you may have more!

You can have your record expunged, call the Main Office. Anyone can file a report without proof, and they do not have to disclose who reported. If you have a hater this can be difficult. They accused me of child abuse when my children were not even at home. That's when I called.

The need to revamp the DCF system. They suck. But further listening sounds like she might of been a handful .

Okay so why was she taken from her home.? Why did the foster parent kick her out? Questions not answered. I wonder why. They were right there why weren’t they asked. Did they refuse to answer the questions? Something smells funny here,

dhhs employees will never take responsibility for there own dirty deed why didnt they send her to winghsam camp they have plenty of beds it a camp but still that a great place for kids

No children have To.go through abuse Physical and emotional raise y kids well and y won’t have to deal with Dcf I see it every day kids alone no food hungries dirty clothes been beat up and abuse most the time from family they all fail on the poor kids let’s blame someone else 😞🙏

Sleeping in an office is BETTER than being under the roof of an abusive home. Bet that was a good night sleep for them, safe and unharmed in an office.
