Tesla Model 3 UNBIASED & UNFILTERED Review by ICE Car Owner: Technology, Features, Range & Charging
Показать описание
Here’s a quick review on a 2023 Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus RWD equipped with the optional 19” wheels. This vehicle is rated for 272 miles of EV range and up to about 160 kWh max charging speed at Tesla’s supercharger network. This video reviews all of my basic first impressions of the vehicle after driving 473 miles through Southern California in traffic, mountains, and on the highway. The main objection I have of this vehicle centers around the road and wind noise levels, as well as with the ride comfort. The ride is too firm at all speeds and the wind/road noise is far too loud, especially over 60 mph. The infotainment screen is quick to respond but includes way too many functions that could be easy to press buttons on the center console, steering wheel, or doors. These are my main concerns with the car, especially with it being about $45k after taxes to purchase (and still a base level model). Some of these issues will be resolved with the 2024 Highland refresh, but the elimination of turn signal/wiper and gear shift stalks is a big mistake from a driver functionality standpoint in my opinion.
Overall, I was pleased with my 4 day rental of the Tesla Model 3 and this vehicle gives me confidence that electric cars will continue to gain traction in the marketplace as the technology and the product matures. If Tesla can make a vehicle like the Model 3 or Model Y, but with more comfort and a more approachable interior ergonomic layout for less tech-savvy buyers, while meeting the $7500 federal tax credit requirements, I think many more people will buy these vehicles and they will be in the top 5 best-selling vehicles in the US.
