FYI, at time index 17:00 the red rectangle is actually visible in the upper left corner. I believe it's because at that point in the code, you hadn't executed rect2.setLocation(300, 300); :-)

How do I do this with the newer JDK? main() method is compulsary there. None of the acm.graphics methods work with main() and if I call run() inside main() then it does not work.

What was the point of getLocation in rect.getLocation().getX()? Isn't rect.getX() sufficient?
