FILMMAKING | BMPCC4K Review & Guide #4 'Media' SSD CFast SD Tests Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K

I have started filming some of my projects with the new Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. I will be filming a lot of music videos and fashion with this camera.

I have created this Review & Guide series that serve both as a review but also as a tutorial for the best practises using this camera in your projects!

In this fourth part, I am exploring some media solutions for the camera and I'm performing various recording tests including what happens to the files when the camera loses power during recording.

how do I take videos that I filmed on BMPCC into my computer. when I plug in my ssd the files are white pages that say "A001_08302142_C001.braw" am I doing something wrong?

Another excellent video in your series on the BMPCC 4K, thank you! One of the questions I have is, "Can the camera transfer files directly to your computer with a cable?" I ask because you purchased the card reader, which suggests you need another means, besides the camera, of getting those files from the card into your computer. Good tests, thank you! BTW, re your comment about raw 5:1 on the RED for a feature movie, hardly ANY movie is shot in pure raw on RED or Alexa as stated by several feature cinematographers, but ProRes more likely, some compressed raw. I think it was Roger Deakins or maybe Sean Bobbitt, who stated that the image is so good coming straight from Alexa that raw not necessary.

what stabilizer is that you are using in the beginning>?

Is that SSD a standard 500ish write one? I reckon M.2 would eat anything that's thrown at it if USB c can handle it.
