How do you think this compares to "Fool Me Once" from last year? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Could made this in 3 episodes. That storyline who the old dude was killing people had nothing to do with her story line with her dad. A lot of this killed this show for me

I hated it lol

Also how does Kat just completely ignore that Josh ran away for 11 years and get back with him, and still get back with him after the ending....

Waste of time and sad I wasted my friday night binging this show

What a terrible ending! Firstly Kat getting back with Josh and then maybe getting back with him after the trust - thst isn’t love that’s obsession.
And finding the farm house was way too convenient and easy

For most of the show I was thinking 'this is okay, an enjoyable binge and intriguing story, but the greatest thing I have ever seen' - so bloody disappointed by the ending though. I was hoping for some comeuppance for all these characters who have lied and lied and lied and lied constantly to protect Kat - who was clearly a lot stronger and resilient than they gave her credit for - and also revealed themselves to be completely corrupt themselves in the process. Stagger has covered up the murder of a police officer, who was himself massively corrupt; Josh emotionally destroyed a woman he claimed to love to help build this prison of lies everyone else has trapped her in; her close friend lied to her (though I'm more willing to forgive Aqua given how she was nearly murdered by that piece of crap Clint); and her mother and all her parent's friends and colleagues lied to her or were covering for corruption. Yet there is no comeuppance for these lies. No punishment in some form. Kat seems just pretty happy to forgive everyone and thereby corrupt herself in the process. Atrocious ending.

Lead actress was frustrating. Not the best detective as she is so absent minded. It seemed as though she wasnt interested in a case if it didn't have Josh name in it eg Rishi.
The van took the boy and she couldn't memories the number plate atleast since she just stood there.

Also so detectives in the UK not carry guns.

How does someone just ghost you for 11yrs and you just forgive so easily. Thats some crazy obsession she had.

definitely the weakest harlen coben show on netflix but was still entertaining!

I enjoyed the series, but I did feel short changed by them cramming the story into only 5 episodes. Like you said, they could have easily expanded the story lines & made it more satisfying overall had they gone at least 8 episodes.

I didn't get the old guy killing people because many dating scammers can extort money from people without laying a hand on them.

I told everyone I know not to bother. Your review is spot on.

It just felt like 2 different stories thrown together into 1 series with a meaningless connection between them (the profile Josh’s kid made). Most of Harlen Coben’s shows start with 2 or more stories all linking with one another which make you constantly put the dots together about how they connect right to the end and feels like a proper conclusion. This one however……yeah it’s definitely a recommended skip😂

All the other Coben shows were much much better. Despite having Pemberton in it - who was just brilliant.

Switch josh and kat, make the kid relevant by having her be pregnant before she disappeared, and tie the two stories together better and youve got a gem.

No way C5 where the bad guy has an unbeatable plan then 30- 15 minutes to the end it goes all wrong

The whole series is based on Kat being too weak to handle the truth. Everyone close to her lied over and over again. The ending also feels unrealistic, sure they are both single and haven’t seen each other in a long time so getting together once is okay but then she should’ve been asking more questions about Sadie’s mum and focusing in more on WHY he left.

Your opinion at the end on the touching hands scene was spot on! It was laughable! Anyways if I have to see Richard Armitage again I’m definitely avoiding the show. Whilst he was okay in the stranger I’m sick of seeing him in every British thriller 😅

I liked this one. The final twist isn't as crazy as his other shows, but fine with it. I was fine with the shorter episode count. All his shows follow the same formula and this time there were less red herrings b/c of the lower episode count.
