RED CUSTARD APPLE 🍎 @fruitsncahoots
Also known as Annona reticulata, this fruit grows really well in South Florida and right now it’s raining red custard apple! This week we will have lots of fruit so if you’ve been wanting to try it, make sure to stop by the fruit stand🌴Info below👇
Red custard apple is ripe when soft all over and will easily peel open with your hands. The skin is edible although it doesn’t have much flavor but the seeds are not edible at all. The flavor and texture remind me of a creamy strawberry/raspberry yogurt cheesecake 🍓 Towards the skin, the texture gets slightly grainy kind of like a pear.
