2019 High School Debate Championship 3.8.19.

For more than two decades, The City Club of Cleveland has hosted the annual High School Debate Championship. Every year, the top two area high school debaters square off in a classic "Lincoln-Douglas" style debate at a Friday forum. Teams from Northeast Ohio are invited to attend as guests of the City Club and BakerHostetler. This year’s participants, Allison Sewell of Hawken School and Tia Speece of Kenston High School, face off.

She may not gave expressed it as calmly or as nicely as the second girl but I thought the first girl had way stronger arguments and counterpoints. A little better executed and I think she would win easily.

The first girl wasn't bad I just think she said actually too much and didn't speak as clearly as she should've. Her arguments were actually pretty good.

That's insane. I'm thinking of joining my school's debate team (not that I'm confident and want to win all of them, but instead because I'm a poor public speaker do I wanna learn more of it), but these debaters are INSANELY good at this, speaking and thinking so well on spot😭😭😭
