I see so many neglected children in my line of work and bad parenting in general that it's refreshing to see people so excited to be dads of their kid (and future kids). What a lot of people don't seem to understand is that a throuple works, at its core, as your average friendship group of 3. Of course, then it gets more complex than that, but most throuples I've seen work this way. Especially those that are in a closed relationship. I have friends who are all in a throuple and they talk about it this way, and I myself have been wondering for quite some years now if polyamory might just be what I really want... I think it might.

I loved this. As a gay guy who has been married for 18 years but is in a polyamorous relationship, it's nice to see alternative forms of relationships being represented. My husband and I aren't really sexually compatible, and someone saw some messages on Facebook on an LGBT video gamer community almost two years ago and messaged me, and we hit it off in a big way. He became my (monogamous) boyfriend shortly after that, and while he's long distance for now, we talk on video chat and the phone for around two hours a day and one of us visits the other every few months. I'm leaving to spend three weeks with him in nine days.

When he came here, he and my husband got along really well on a friendship level. They have some similar media interests to talk about and they chat on Facebook, but my husband and I have a strict policy that we don't want a throuple or to share a partner. This is my first boyfriend since we became poly and it's going so well. My husband had a boyfriend a couple years ago for a year, but he kept trying to drag me into their sex life and I really didn't want that and it made me uncomfortable.

Anyways, my boyfriend is moving here (Hawaii) in April, and I'm very excited. It'll be interesting to find out the dynamics once he is here permanently.

None of us have any interest in having kids, thankfully, so that complication will never happen with us.
