Johor Election 2022: Can Barisan Nasional Recapture The State On Its Own? | Insight

The people of Johor will head to the polls on 12 March to elect their new state government. The election will be held in the midst of a COVID-19 surge and an economy which is struggling to recover from the impact of the pandemic. It will also take place against the backdrop of a fierce battle for power between rival groups within the ruling coalition – BARISAN NASIONAL AND PERIKATAN NASIONAL, making this an election to watch. If anything, the outcome will pave the way for the timing of the next general election scheduled to be held as early this year.

After BN’s thumping victory in the Melaka state election last November, will Johor be next? Can the grand old coalition recapture the southern state on its own - with a convincing majority? Or will the opposition PAKATAN HARAPAN create an upset once again?

I dont see a much unified opposition to form a stable government even they may won the Johor Prn.
A mixed government doesnt work well here.
The rakyat want political stability. Of course, wrong is wrong and there are no two ways about it.
Leaders come and go but the unified front will eventually stay in the long run.
Selamat Mengundi.

The change of goverment is slow mostly certain, eg India, Taiwan, S Korea but can be stop eg Japan. Do BN leaders have the Japanese culture? I doubt it! UMNO use to be led by teachers but now by biz men.

Whoever win should work together for the good of johore ; opposition or not. Not fighting among each other like we see in the past at the expense of the economy and livelihood of the people.
To work together with neighbouring countries that will support growth....
All race and religion is equal in the eyes of God. All are brother and sister.
