ACAP Cape Fear: The Driving Fitness Program & Transitions for Older Adults
Показать описание
ACAP Cape Fear is hosting a free educational program titled "From Driving to Passenger: The Driving Fitness Program and Transitions for Older Adults" on Tuesday, August 13, at 6:00pm.
In most communities and for most adults, driving a car means independence – the ability to spend time in the community with friends and family, attend church, shop for necessary items such as groceries and medications, get to medical appointments, and participate in other activities that are necessary for physical and emotional well-being. Our program helps you identify warning signs, explore evaluation strategies, and discuss transportation alternatives with your parents. Gain the skills to navigate these sensitive conversations and support your loved ones through this difficult transition.
Presenters:
Joe Fitzgerald
Owner of Southeastern Driving Training Center and NCDMV Certified Driving Instructor
Noa Alper, OTR/L, MSRS
Co-owner of Assistance for Life Care Management Services
