Christianity penetrated some parts of the north of the country during the time of the Romans ; and disappeared with the fall of the Roman Empire in Africa. There is almost no trace of Christianity in Algerian culture, nor in the myths or legends of this people. The little that we find is not more than the number of myths and legends of paganism.
I can say that before Islam, Algerians were paganists.
